Rothschild & Co opens Saudi office

Independent financial advisory group Rothschild & Co has expanded its Mena presence with the opening of a new office in Riyadh.

The move is part of a strategic expansion into the Saudi Arabian market, according to the Paris-based firm.

It is also a reflection of the firm’s conviction in the growth potential of the Saudi market, according to a statement from Rothschild & Co.

Saudi funds reach record high

The funds sector has enjoyed record growth of late. 2023 saw the highest ever number of investment funds domiciled in the kingdom, according to the Saudi Capital Market Authority.

The Riyadh office will offer a full range of advisory services including debt advisory and restructuring and equity markets services.

The Saudi business will be led by Nasser Al Issa, managing director and head of Saudi Arabia.

“The opening of our Riyadh office is a significant milestone in our ongoing efforts to expand our regional footprint in key and critical markets,” said Saeed Al Awar, partner and head of the Middle East at Rothschild & Co . “Saudi Arabia represents a fundamental pillar of our Middle East strategy.”
