Edmond de Rothschild bolsters Mena operations

European asset manager Edmond de Rothschild Asset Management has appointed Fatima Asad-Bakhtiari as managing director and head of distribution, Middle East.

In the newly created role, she will be responsible for establishing the firm’s presence in the region.

The Geneva-based private bank and asset manager is looking to focus on private markets and institutional investors with its Mena business.

Based in Dubai, she will report to global head of distribution, Marie Jacot.

Prior to joining Edmond de Rothschild Asset Management, Asad-Bakhtiari worked for Well Fargo Asset Management. Before that, she spent five years at Franklin Templeton acting as Middle East institutional sales manager covering sovereign wealth funds and family offices.
