Women’s investment in UAE real estate to grow by 50%

The number of women investors in the UAE real estate sector grew by 51% in 2022 and looks set to continue that trend in 2023, according to data from the Dubai Land Department.

In total, women have invested US$16 billion in the sector, in a clear demonstration of escalating financial independence.

A recently published government report showed that women own 30% of the property in Dubai.

While women are increasing their investments in various asset classes, property is especially attractive, accounting for 40% of total investment. Technology is The next popular sector, accounting for 30% of investment.

The trend has caught the attention of asset managers in the region. Dubai-based hedge fund Hedge and Sachs has launched an initiative titled ‘InvestHER’ to attract more women investors.

“The steadfast growth in women’s investments stands as a testament to their increasing financial literacy, strategic prowess, and role as formidable contributors to the UAE’s economic development,” said Rachit Pant, Hedge & Sachs chief executive.
