Standard Chartered names Qatar chief

Muhannad Mukahall has been appointed as chief executive of Standard Chartered Bank Qatar.

He joined the bank in 2013 and has held several roles in that time.

Mukahall was most recently chief executive of Standard Chartered Bank Jordan.

He has also served as head of global banking in Jordan and head of local corporates in Abu Dhabi.

Before joining Standard Chartered, Mukahall worked for Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank, Arab Bank, HSBC Dubai and Jordan Kuwait Bank.

“Qatar is one of our strategic markets in the Middle East,” said Mukahall. “I look forward to strengthening our relationships with our partners, delivering differentiated financial solutions and supporting the growth and development of the Qatari economy and community.”
