Saudi-based Sedco Capital is hoping to bring in US$175 million following the first close of its SC Private Equity Global Co-Investment Master Fund II.
According to the firm, the intention is to create a portfolio of “fast-growing private companies diversified across PE fund managers, geographies and sectors”.
The fund intends to focus on co-investments in mid-market high-growth opportunities in the Americas, Europe and Asia.
In terms of sectors, the fund will prioritise healthcare, technology, consumer, business services and industrials.
Law firm Reed Smith acted as lead counsel on the formation of the fund.
