Saxo Bank powers EFG Hermes trading platform

Software platformEFG Hermes, an investment bank founded in Egypt in 1984, will provide clients with an online trading platform powered by technology from Denmark’s Saxo Bank.

The new EFG Hermes One service is underpinned by SaxoTraderGo, a trading platform set up by Saxo Bank in 2015. SaxoTraderGo was designed to allow client firms to create whitelabel services powered by Saxo Bank’s technology but carrying their own branding.

Karim Awad, group chief executive of EFG Hermes, described Saxo Bank’s technology as “the industry’s most intuitive multi-asset trade platform”.

“The launch is the first step in a partnership that will see us expand our brokerage product offering, including those developed in partnership with Saxo Bank, to compelling new markets as we continue our transformation into a financial services corporation with access to MENA and frontier markets,” he said.

EFG Hermes One, which will be available to investors in the Middle East region in December, will bring together research, market data and video briefings from EFG Hermes covering the MENA region. It will also include analysis of global markets by Saxo Bank.
