Nomura launches wealth management business in Dubai

Japan-based financial services group Nomura has widened its footprint in the Mena wealth management market by opening new premises in the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC).

The Dubai office will be part of Nomura’s International Wealth Management business.

It will cater for single-family offices, ultra-high-net-worth investors and external asset managers operating in the region.

Nomura announced its intention to enter Mena’s wealth management market last year. The firm then obtained a category four licence from the Dubai Financial Services Authority.

“Our on-the-ground presence here will help us better tap into the vast pools of wealth in this region to complement our strategy of serving clients across Greater China and Southeast Asia as well as the global NRI segment,” said Ravi Raju, Nomura’s head of international wealth management.
