Waha Capital launches private investments strategy

Abu Dhabi-based asset manager, Waha Capital, has appointed former Morgan Stanley banker, Hashem Dabbas, to chief investments officer as its private investments business.

The firm will also be launching a private investments strategy with a global mandate to coincide with the appointment.

The strategy will comprise two portfolios – one focused on the Mena region and another with a global mandate to target alternative investments.

Dabbas joins from Abu Dhabi Investment Council where he was head of special situations, energy and industrials.

“This new private investments strategy and setup will enable our team to pursue a more global and multi-asset investment approach,” said Dabbas.
