Tadawul hires chief strategy officer

Lee Hodgkinson, the former chief executive of proprietary trading firm OSTC, has been recruited by Saudi exchange operator Tadawul to serve as its group chief strategy officer.

Hodgkinson spent four years at the London-based derivatives trading firm.

Before that, Hodgkinson served as the chief executive of Euronext’s London business and head of markets and global sales between 2014 and 2018.

He was also chief executive of Euronext’s dark pool trading service SmartPool.

In a Linkedin post announcing the new appointment, Hodgkinson stated that he was accepting an opportunity to “help shape the future of a significant exchange group”.

Since its IPO in 2019, Tadawul is now among the top 10 exchange operators globally by market capitalisation.

“In addition to driving our strategic growth agenda, one of my main goals is to help unlock the potential of our countless bright young employees,” added Hodgkinson.
