Bahrain’s Shariyah Review Bureau (SRB) has been contracted by Switzerland-based BlueBox Asset Management to oversee its Islamic Global Technology Fund.
BlueBox’s Global Technology Fund was launched in 2018 and managed by William De Gale.
He is now launching a shariah-compliant version of the fund with the help of the SRB.
“Shariah constraints favour the technology sector, and bringing SRB on board to supervise our Shariah compliance affairs will further strengthen trust in our stakeholders and also give us significant scale with low input costs for certifying and auditing Shariah-compliant funds and investments,” said De Gale.
