Standard Chartered names CIO for Mena market

Standard Chartered Bank has appointed Manpreet Gill as chief investment officer (CIO) for Africa, the Middle East and Europe (AMEE).

He will be based in Dubai, reporting to Steve Brice, group CIO.

Gill has spent the last ten years in the bank’s wealth management CIO team and will continue his role as head of the CIO office’s fixed income, currency, and commodity strategy in addition to his new responsibilities for the AMEE region.

Before joining Standard Chartered in 2011, Gill spent three years as an Asia strategist for Barclays Wealth based in Singapore.

“Having a senior and experienced member of the CIO team based in the AMEE region will enrich client conversations, adding significant value to our business,” said Brice.
