Schroders partners with GFH for private equity investments

Bahrain-based asset manager GFH Financial Group has teamed up with global investment firm Schroders for a series of private equity deals.

The partnership involves Schroders Capital, the firm’s private markets investments division which has more than US$70 billion of assets under management.

According to GFH, it will work with Schroders Capital on “select private equity and venture capital deals on a discretionary basis”.

The pair has already completed their first co-investment in an unnamed global healthcare provider.

“This strategic partnership with Schroders Capital strongly aligns with GFH’s vision of building a robust European and American private equity investment platform, an area where we continue to focus and expand both organically as well as inorganically through partnerships, JVs and acquisitions of GP stakes,” said Hammad Younis, GFH chief investment officer.
