CoinMena has become the first digital assets exchange in the Mena region to open for business in Qatar.
This will allow retail investors in Qatar to invest in cryptocurrencies via CoinMena’s digital wallet.
The Bahrain-based firm also became the first onshore licensed crypto exchange in the region to offer limit trading, which enables users to set a price at which they buy and sell crypto.
The CoinMena co-founders, Dina Sam’an and Talal Tabbaa, hailed the move into Qatar as a “major milestone”.
Investors have been asking about our plans to enter the country for some time now, so this news represents a major milestone on our long-term geographic market expansion plans,” they said.
