Northern Trust bolsters Mena team

Global custodian Northern Trust has made two appointments to its Middle East and Africa (MEA) asset servicing team as it continues to expand its presence in the region.

Justin Miller has become head of relationship management for MEA where he will be responsible for the oversight and strategic development of asset servicing relationships in the region. Miller, who has been at Northern Trust for 12 years, was previously head of client management for securities lending EMEA.

Chris Dulieu will take up the role of head of client service for MEA, overseeing clients’ custodial, investment accounting, performance and reporting services. He was previously a senior relationship manager responsible for servicing NT’s pension fund clients in the UK.

Both Miller and Dulieu will relocate to Abu Dhabi to take up their new positions. The additions come shortly after Northern Trust expanded its senior management team in Saudi Arabia.

“As our clients’ strategies evolve to meet the opportunities and challenges of the market, they require services delivered in their working week and time zone,” said Michael Slater, head of Middle East and Africa at Northern Trust.
