Mubadala and Mumtalakat plan Bahrain joint venture

Two sovereign wealth funds are set to collaborate on a healthcare project in Bahrain.

The joint venture involves Mubadala Health, a unit of Abu Dhabi-based Mubadala, and Bahrain’s Mumtalakat.

They plan to open a long-term care and post-acute rehabilitation facility in Bahrain to be operated by Amana Healthcare.

“We are committed to investing in Bahrain and supporting the economic growth in the Kingdom by focusing on key economic sectors, including healthcare,” said Mumtalakat CEO Khalid Al Rumaihi.

“Our collaboration with Mubadala Health allows us to explore developing a key healthcare facility that will address a gap and add value to the current Bahrain healthcare ecosystem,” he added.
