Real estate investment firm Jones Lang LaSalle (JLL) has appointed Alida Saleh as head of sustainability for Middle East & Africa.
In the newly created role, Saleh will be responsible for leading the company’s sustainability strategy in the region.
Her appointment comes at a time when both the real estate and investment sectors are accelerating their efforts to reduce their environmental impact, something which JLL believes will lead to a greater demand for sustainability consulting services.
In addition, the UAE is set to host the COP28 Climate conference later this year.
Saleh currently serves as a senior advisor to the UNFCCC Climate Champions Built Environment team, led by UN high-level champion for COP28, Razan Khalifa Al Mubarak.
