Bahrain-based alternative investment firm Investcorp has named Mashaal Al Jomaih as managing director for private wealth in Saudi Arabia (KSA).
Based in Riyadh, Al Jomaih joins from BNP Paribas KSA, where he headed up its onshore wealth management business.
Investcorp KSA chief executive Yasser Bajsair stated that the appointment showed that Saudi Arabia is a key market for the firm’s wealth management ambitions.
“We believe the economic transformation of the Kingdom and the evolution of the family business model have created opportunities to establish higher value and larger scale businesses that require complex and sophisticated processes and enhanced management capabilities,” said Bajsair.
“As managing director for private wealth, [Al Jomaih] will also support the expansion of our client base in Saudi Arabia.”
