Investcorp bolsters US real estate portfolio

Bahrain-based asset manager, Investcorp, has bolstered its US real estate portfolio after spending US$330 million on five residential properties.

The firm is one of the most active participants in the US property sector. In October 2020, Investcorp announced that its US real estate portfolio had exceeded $2 billion.

The multifamily sector has been a particular focus for Investcorp and alongside industrial properties, represent 90% of the firm’s US real estate holdings.

Its latest purchases comprise 1,854 units in three suburban US cities and brings its multifamily portfolio to more than 14,000 units across roughly 40 properties.

“Our latest acquisitions are consistent with our defined investment approach and build upon our long history of investing in US multifamily real estate,” said Khulood Ebrahim, a real estate product specialist at Investcorp.
