Bahrain-based alternatives firm Investcorp has expanded its presence in the US financial services market with two acquisitions.
Firstly, Investcorp has purchased Marble Point Credit Management, a US-based credit-focused asset manager.
Marble Point has US$7.8 billion of assets under management and is focused on managing collateralised loan obligations and broadly syndicated leveraged loans.
According to Corey Geis, director of capital markets, head trader and portfolio manager at Investcorp, the combined platform “represents a formidable player in the credit markets, significantly enhancing our profile in the eyes of capital markets participants”.
No financial details of the transaction were disclosed.
Investcorp has also acquired a majority stake in US-based business advisory firm CrossCountry Consulting.
