FundRock, the third party management company, has appointed Ryan Lemand as non-executive director of its Mena-based business FundRock Middle East.
Lemand is considered a veteran of the Mena funds market.
He was previously senior executive officer of ADS Investment Solution, the wealth and asset management business of the ADSS Group. It went onto become one of the largest companies in the Abu Dhabi Global Market.
Prior to that Lemand was senior adviser and head of risk management at the Emirates Securities & Commodities Authority, the UAE’s federal securities regulator.
He has also spent time in Europe, as a lead portfolio manager at Fortis Investments
FundRock, which was acquired by Apex Group in February 2021, set up its Mena business in September 2021.
