Egyptian investment firm EFG Hermes has partnered with Microsoft’s Azure service to launch a cloud-based direct market access (DMA) platform.
The DMA offering is designed to give clients more control over their trading by providing greater access to execution venues.
It is also designed to remove latency from the trading process with EFG Hermes claiming that the new cloud-based platform is 160 times faster than its legacy DMA system.
Users will also be given access to the firm’s algorithmic trading offering.
The launch of the platform is also an extension of an existing partnership between EFG Hermes and Microsoft Azure with plans for the investment firm to eventually move all of its applications onto the cloud.
