Digital asset manager 3iQ announces Middle East expansion

3iQ, the Canada-based digital asset manager, is expanding its presence in the Mena market with two new appointments.

Rachel Pether and Vinay Kapoor have been hired as strategic advisors.

Abu Dhabi-based Pether sits on the board of several digital asset managers and has previously headed up the Middle East operations of SkyBridge Capital and also spent more than a decade at Mubadala Investment Company.

Kapoor is based in Dubai and is the founder of Fortius Management Advisors. The two appointees will be expected to promote 3iQ’s outsourced crypto investment office offering in the Mena market.

In June 2021, 3iQ listed its Bitcoin Fund on Nasdaq Dubai, making it the region’s first exchange-based digital asset fund.
