Capco opens Mena office

Fintech consulting firm Capco has launched a “consulting capability” in the Middle East.

The new business will be led by managing partner Naim Alame.

Based in Abu Dhabi, he joins Capco from Accenture where he spent 11 years as a senior client executive in its Middle East business.

According to Capco, regional macroeconomic trends, including the diversification away from oil, are driving greater investment in financial services.

In particular, there are several institutions looking at large-scale digital transformation projects.

Consulting spend in the GCC has reached US$3.3 billion this year and is forecast to grow by 30% year-on-year in the near term. Financial services account for roughly 30% of this spend.

Capco was acquired by global consulting firm Wipro in March 2021.
