A former senior executive of the Abu Dhabi Global Market (ADGM) has joined fund services provider Apex Group as its head of strategic development for Middle East and Africa.
Bhaskar Dasgupta will be based in the ADGM and is responsible for the firm’s continued business and client developments in the region.
He was most recently head of market infrastructure, digital and fintech and head of South Asia.
Prior to that he was chief operating officer of UK export finance at the department of international trade in the UK government.
The appointment comes on the back of a number of hires in the region for Apex, including the recent addition of a non-executive director for Apex subsidiary FundRock’s Mena business.
