ADSS appoints new sales head

Online brokerage ADSS has named Khaldoun Sharaiha as its new global head of sales.

The Abu Dhabi-based firm has appointed Sharaiha to lead its expansion overseas in Europe and Asia as well as the Mena region.

He will also be responsible for client engagement with a specific focus on institutional investors and high-net worth professional investors.

His predecessor Jason Hughes will stay on at ADSS in a business development role.

Sharaiha was previously at UK-based broker Equiti where he headed up its operation in Jordan, as well as being regional head for Swiss broker Dukascopy Bank.

His hiring follows ADSS’s recent launch of its five year transformation strategy designed to grow its presence across key markets and develop its technology infrastructure.

“[Sharaiha] is joining ADSS at a promising time for our business,” said ADSS chief executive and executive chairman Mahmood Ebraheem Al Mahmood. “ADSS will be investing to attract and retain the best talent in the industry in the coming years, as we set the benchmark for online brokerages in terms of client experience, breadth of offering, and effective use of technology.”
