Abu Dhabi ETF market reaches regional high

The value of ETFs traded on the Abu Dhabi Exchange (ADX) in the first nine months of 2022 has exceeded US$380 million.

This makes the ADX the most liquid ETF market in the Arab world, according to the exchange.

As of the end of September, the exchange had processed more than 11,400 trades of 227 million units.

While the ADX has heralded the liquidity of its exchange-traded products, there are only seven ETFs currently listed on the exchange, with an eighth set to list on 24th November.

The ADX has sought to collaborate with other players in the ETF industry to attract more issuers and investors.

Earlier this year it partnered with FTSE Russell to develop a new suite of indexes. The first of these, the FTSE ADX Growth Market Index, was launched in Q3.
