US financial services giant Citi has appointed Kamal Benkabbou as head of markets for the Middle East, Egypt and Pakistan.
Based in Dubai, he will be responsible for developing and implementing the firm’s growth strategy in the region.
He will also be expected to work with regional leadership teams and product heads and to develop relationships with institutional clients.
Benkabbou joined Citi in 2011 and was most recently head of financial institution sales and solutions, a role he will continue to hold until a replacement is appointed..
Prior to joining Citi, Benkabbou worked for Barclays Capital in London.
