BNY Mellon wins Lunate fund admin mandate

Lunate Capital, the Abu Dhabi-based alternative fund manager, has selected BNy Mellon as its fund administrator.

US-based asset servicer BNY Mellon will provide global custody, transfer agency and fund administration services for all Lunate funds as part of its mandate.

According to Lunate, the selection of BNY Mellon was down to its ability to support a wide range of fund structures and strategies.

“BNY Mellon through its global experience and commitment to client service can provide us with data-driven insights and a complete view across all our funds,” said Seif Fikry, managing partner, Lunate.

Lunate was launched in September 2023 by local asset manager Chimera Investments with backing from Abu Dhabi sovereign wealth fund ADQ.

In December, Lunate launched a US$30 billion climate fund, which it claimed was the largest private investment fund focused on climate change.
