BNP Paribas names CEO for Middle East wealth business

French firm BNP Paribas Wealth Management has announced the appointment of Antione Chemali as CEO of its Middle East division.

Based in Dubai, he succeeds Masroor Batin, who stepped down from the role in August.

Chemali was most recently managing director and GCC market head for BNP Paribas, a role he took on in October 2021.

Prior to that, Chemali was head of private banking at FAB.

The Middle East appointment comes after several leadership changes in the wealth manager’s Asia business, including a new head of wealth management for Singapore and Southeast Asia.
