Al Salam releases investment app

Bahrain-based Al Salam Bank has launched an investment platform accessible on the bank’s mobile app.

Al Salam Invest is described by the Islamic bank as the latest upgrade to its app and provides digital trading to its private banking service.

In terms of asset classes, the platform caters for global equities, ETFs, sukuk and mutual funds, all complying to sharia rules.

Users will also be able to view their trades in real time and also manage their general banking through the app.

“Today’s fast-moving sector demands innovation,” said group chief executive Rafik Nayed.

“Accordingly, we are investing heavily in our digital transformation strategy to develop new platforms that enhance the client experience.”
