Schroders teams up with Bank Muscat

Schroders has announced a long-term strategic partnership with Oman’s Bank Muscat that will combine Schroders funds with the bank’s local distribution network.

Bank Muscat’s clients will get access to an interactive digital solution developed by Schroders, thereby developing its wealth management offering.

In return, Schroders will expand its market in the Middle East.

“This partnership goes hand-in-hand with our strategy of building closer relationships across the region,” said Douglas Bourne, country head for the Middle East at Schroders.

The alliance comes just months after Bank Muscat sold a majority stake in its investment banking arm Muscat Capital to Bahrain-based asset manager, Sico.
