Saudi Jordanian Investment Fund makes $15m tech investment

The Saudi Jordanian Investment Fund (SJIF) has agreed to invest US$15 million in Jordanian tech company, OpenSooq.

The capital will be used to fund OpenSooq’s expansion in the region.

According to SJIF, the investment is in line with its developmental objective of supporting local entrepreneurs.

It is also recognition of the role that the ICT sector plays in the Jordanian economy, contributing 12% of its GDP.
