Greenstone gets funds licence in Dubai

Dubai-based Greenstone Equity Partners has been granted a licence by the UAE’s Securities and Commodities Authority (SCA) to promote financial products and foreign securities.

The licence effectively means that Greenstone can offer fund placement activities to its clients by registering funds with the SCA.

The fund placement firm says that the move will provide international and local investment options for institutional and non-institutional investors in the UAE.

“Securing this prestigious licence marks a significant landmark in the growth story of Greenstone, cementing us as the leading placement firm for capital raising in the Middle East,” said Alex Gemici, chairman of Greenstone.

Greenstone Equity Partners was launched in Dubai in 2011 and currently employs around 40 people from its base in Dubai.
