Egyptian fintech plans venture fund and robo-advisor

Digital Finance Holding (DFin Holding), an Egypt-based fintech platform has announced plans to develop a robo-advisor, wealth management platform and venture debt fund targeting local start-ups.

The firm hopes to cash in on the growth of the fintech sector in the Mena region.

It is currently raising capital for its fund, Camel Ventures, which is scheduled to launch in the second quarter of 2021. 

In addition to providing an alternative source of financing for fintech startups, the firm is hoping to attract local investors and family offices through the fund.

“Fintech has become a clear cornerstone for economic growth and financial inclusion that is cross cutting across various sectors and industries,” said Khaled Hegazy, chairman of DFin Holding.
