Saudi-based alternative investment manager Alkhabeer Capital is celebrating the recognition of its data security practices after it was awarded ISO certification for information security management.
The ISO 27001 standard is seen as a global kitemark for information security and Alkhabeer claims it is one of the few independent investment managers in Saudi Arabia to have the accreditation.
With Covid-19 forcing most investment managers to adapt to more home-based working, information security has become a much greater concern for regulators and investors.
According to chief executive, Ahmed Saud Ghouth, the award is testament to the firm’s commitment to securing clients’ data.
“We understand that information must be meticulously managed, controlled and protected given its significant impact on customers and the business ecosystem in general,” said Ghouth.
